When chicken farmers noticed more vegetation popping up where chickens had grazed they pondering what was happening below the surface. That’s where we stepped in, analyzing the soil microbiome to understand what was changing at a microorganic level. Data from soil sampling can often prove useful for standard organic and biodynamic accreditations.
Biologic’s fauna teams have again undertaken spring surveys for vertebrate and invertebrate fauna this year at Jirdarup Bushland in Kensington.
Biologic are proud to be involved again with the amazing work at Jirdarup Bushland, working with the Town of Victoria Park and Friends of Jirdarup Bushland. Jirdarup Bushland is a wonderful example of what can be achieved with our remnant bushland.
A couple of the interesting critters Biologic staff came across were an ant mimic jumping spider (Myrmarachne sp.), and a resin bee (Megachile aurifrons) pictured below.
